Winter 2010 Class Offerings

For Adults:

  • Discover the meaning of life through The Alpha Course 6:30-7:45 PM in Fellowship Hall.  Alpha is highly recommended for faith seekers at any stage of the journey.  It's a great place to raise questions you struggle with, or to refresh your understanding of the Christian Faith and experience renewal.  It's also a great place to make some new friends.  The next Alpha Course will run from March 10 through May 26, 2010.

  • The Quest For Authentic Manhood.  Discover your core identity as a man, and get an overview of basic manhood issues. This class will help men deal with various identity issues by looking back at past wounds and other things that may have distorted their idea of biblical masculinity. Throughout the course of the study, men will learn how to clearly define manhood and will finally be able to give a succinct and passionate answer to the questions, “What is a man?” and “What am I living to be?"

  • For Women.  Each session stands alone in this practical course for women, featuring video presentations by some of America's top women's Bible teachers and speakers followed by discussion.  Join us for fellowship and engaging discussion.  Make new friendships and deepen old ones.

  • Bible Study of the book of James.  Walk step-by-step through this challenging book of the Bible.  James reminds us that authentic faith leads to a life of faithfulness to Christ and engagement with the world.

  • Parenting Class.  Are you surprised when grandma and grandpa say your children behaved just splendidly when they cared for them?  Yet when the children are back home your patience is strained by repeated warnings or "time outs" to achieve the desired behavior.  If this and other child-rearing challenges describe your home, this class may be for you. We'll look at what it takes to raise respectful, responsible, resourceful children.

For Children (ages 3-5th grade):

  • "Children’s Choir" - The choir is led by Margo Sirrine and learns a variety of music that is shared in worship services and a Spring Musical.
  • "Kid’s Club" - The children’s activities are Bible-based and Christ-centered. The children study the Bible, learn new skills, build relationships, and learn to live for Jesus Christ.
  • Nursery care is available for children under the age of three.

For Youth :

  • Junior High Unforgettables youth group for grades 6-8 (meets 6-8 PM in the Youth Room)
  • High School Unforgettables youth group for grades 9-12 (meets 6-8 PM in the Youth Center)
