Our elders understood these concepts, and we can learn from them, and from the Bible, ways to better cope with the issues we face in our daily lives Join us for worship soon! |
Join us at 10:30am every Sunday morning this summer for a worship service in the beautiful Garden of Remembrance at First Congregational and worship right in the middle of nature! (Indoor seating is available for those who prefer, and the entire service is moved indoors for inclement weather.) |
Do you enjoy gardening? Would you like to learn about gardening? Join the wonderful, friendly volunteers in our Garden of Remembrance every Tuesday from 9-noon, all summer long. There's lots to be done, people to show you what to do, and how to do it! This is also an opportunity to meet new people and make new frirnds! |

Do you have a vision of what you want your children to be when they are adults? John Rosemond's goal is to help parents raise children who are respectful, responsible, resourceful, and contributing members of society, through time tested, Biblical methods. The Follow Up Study Groups and classes will use a video by John, to explore key points of the book and stimulate discussion about parenting. Interested? In 1997, George Ferrar began a Bible Believing, Spirit led mission on the tiny island of Caye Caulker, off the shore of Belize. He soon recognized that an island high school was one of the greatest needs on Caye Caulker, and set about organizing and building a Christian High School there. There have been many trials, miracles, and delays along the way, but there are now classrooms ready, the school's license (from the Belizean government) in hand, and teachers on the way, ready for an August 2009 school opening! The goal is to "provide an atmosphere of faith, hope and love where students can grow, flourish rapidly, and take their first steps toward their unique callings in life. |
Make your reservation for buffet dinner (5:30-6:15pm) by Monday, and join the First Congregational family on Wed. for dinner and activities for all ages: Nursery care or infants-3yrs., Kids Klub (games, choir and small group) for children 4yrs - 5th grade, Youth Group for 6th - 12th grade youth, and these new class offerings for adults: Just For Men - a Robert Lewis video series "Winning at Work & Home" Just For Women - "For Women Only" (Shaunti Feldhahn) and "The New Eve" (Robert Lewis) For ALL - Alpha - the basics of the Christian faith presented in a non-threatening environment to enlighten the novice Christian and challenge the mature Christian. |
